Is everyone ready for fall? Me either! Spring & summer this year were anything but normal. Schools re-opening will be a challenge, but we have our stitching to turn to for stress relief. There still shortage on some fabrics and fibers due to international shipping issues during the pandemic. I am trying to get caught up and do expect some fabrics to arrive this month.

If you are participating in the Coming To America project by With Thy Needle & Thread be sure to get them before the 4th so you will be able to begin your projects during the time period that the Mayflower sailed.

Remember the shop will be CLOSED from September 5-7 for Labor Day.

Unfortunately, I have made the decision to cancel (once again) our Stitching Weekend that had been rescheduled to November. The whole idea was to have an area that would accommodate a group so we could stitch together. With social distancing, mask wearing, and frequent disinfecting and hand-washing, it would be very difficult to be sure that we are safe. Anyone who is signed up and has paid will be given store credit to use. I will keep track of your status at the shop so if you’re not sure, just call 315-449-2181. Also, if you have rescheduled reservations at the Best Western you will need to contact them directly to cancel. Their number is: 315-463-6443. Who knows what next year will bring? Perhaps we can try again then. In the meantime, let’s enjoy what’s left of summer and spend time outdoors while we social distance.

Wishing you all a Happy Labor Day, Happy Fall, and Happy Stitching, Jan
