Monthly Newsletter

This November will be unlike any other we have experienced before. Things start to seem normal, until you watch the news, open your mail, hear alarming statistics, or know of someone who has contracted COVID-19. At this point, I doubt any of us can say that it hasn’t impacted our lives in some dramatic way. Throw in some mud-slinging politicians, violent protesting, police brutality and people trying to have their voices heard, and it is too much for some of us to deal with. So, what do we do? We stay socially distant, wear our masks, stay away from crowded and/or dangerous places, and keep our families as safe as possible. AND, we stitch! I have had so many stitchers confide that has been their saving grace since the pandemic began. It’s a little normalcy, and a lot of stress-relief! We all need to keep in touch with each other any way we can, either in person (when safe), or virtually, as many have been doing. With some schools adopting remote learning, religious services streamed online, virtual performances by favorite artists, working from home, or just using Zoom to stay updated on the grandchildren’s milestones, we can manage if it keeps us healthy and less isolated. The shop is open as usual. We are getting regular deliveries from distributors and, as you will see, lots of new designs to check out, plus room to stay socially distant while you’re there. So, please stop by to get stocked up for those stuck at home days and worsening weather as we get closer to the end of 2020. No matter how you are able to celebrate, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, and Happy Stitching, Jan
