Monthly Newsletter The leaves are falling and the decor has turned to chrysanthemums and pumpkins. It must be October. Its time to start planning for upcoming holidays and that includes putting a few Stitcher’s Garden gift certificates on your "to buy" list or your own wish list. SNEAK PEEK OF FABRICS AND FIBERS FOR RETREAT PROJECT

Here is a sneak peek of some of the fabrics and fibers used in our retreat project for 2018 "Grandma’s Heart" by Beth Seal of Summer-house Stitche Workes. The retreat will take place March 16th-18th at the Carrier Circle Hampton Inn & Suites

Silk Gauze "Random Threads" Saturday, October 7th, 10-12 $45 This design from Erica Michaels is worked on 40ct silk gauze using one strand of floss. Experience with counted work is necessary. Magnification is recommended.   Random Threads
 

Beginning Hardanger "Scissor Fob" Saturday, October 14th 10-12 $45 Learn to do Kloster blocks, cut fabric threads, and fill stitches using two sizes of DMC Perle Cotton. Linen experience is recommended.   Scissor Fob
 

Beginning Linen "Give Thanks" Saturday, October 21st 9-11 $40 Learn to stitch over two linen threads on 28ct Cashel linen.   Give Thanks
 

Beginning Cross Stitch "Fruit Bowl" Saturday, October 28th 9-11 $35 This class piece is worked in cross stitch and backstitch on 18ct Aida. We will also discuss fabrics, fibers, and terminology used in stitching.   Fruit Bowl
 

French Knots "The Singing Tree" Saturday, November 4th 10-12 $55 This miniature rug design by Teresa Layman is stitched entirely using French knots and Colonial knots with one strand of floss for amazing detail. There is no counting involved. Please bring a small locking hoop to class. Magnification is helpful.   Singing tree
 


Punch Needle "Stocking Ornament" Saturday, November 11th 10-12 $50 Learn to transfer your design to your fabric, how to punch and how to correct mistakes. A three strand punch needle is included in your kit. You will need to bring a locking hoop to class with you.   Stocking Ornament
 


Canvaswork "Winter Quilt Block" Saturday, November 18th 10-12 $45 This design by Laura Perin is worked on 18ct Mono Canvas using DMC Perle Cotton. Experience with counted work is recommended. Please bring a pair of stretcher bars and tacks to class.   Canvaswork Winter Quilt Block
 


All classes require a 50% deposit to register. Please call 315-449-2181 or stop by the shop to see the class models. All materials needed are included in the class fee unless otherwise specified. Please bring a small pair of embroidery scissors and a q-snap or hoop with you. If you use specialty lighting and/or magnification please bring them to class with you.
