March 2019

Monthly Newsletter It is finally March and we can begin to see the light at the end of this long winter and look toward spring. It may only be on the calendar, but eventually we will feel and see it “springing up” around us. This month brings the much awaited releases from the annual Needlework Market in Nashville. As I was not able to attend this year, I have pre-ordered as many things as possible and will continue to get the newest designs, fabrics, magnets, etc. in the shop as soon as they become available. There are still designers who give preference to shops that attend market by not releasing their new charts for a period of time (usually a month) before they are made available to everyone. Fortunately, there are others who are happy to get them out to stitchers NOW! I have formed relationships with quite a few designers over the years and most are very accommodating. So, I will do the best I can, but some patience may be required! A reminder about our Annual Needlework Exhibit during the month of May: All completed needlework is welcome! If you have been working on a project that you would like to display, now is the time to finish it up and bring it in for framing to make sure that it is ready (or they are) for you to drop off next month. Please share your accomplishments with other stitchers and perhaps win a gift certificate to the shop! Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Happy Stitching, Jan
